    I ended up getting a set of used V7 STi wagon struts. I will used these for my winter setup and cut open my stockers for the Koni inserts. So, I do need my stockers.

    I've seen plenty of sedan takeoffs around.

    the problem is nobody wants to split their set up and I don't want to pay for a set or even a rear set if I have to

    Today I witnessed the destruction of JR's set of OEM struts to make way for the Koni inserts. I felt bad for the struts - they were good to him. A hole was drilled to drain their "blood", then their heads were unceremoniously lopped off and spine extracted. A sad day indeed.
