For those of you looking for a great daily driver, this is it! Selling my beloved 2000 Performance White P71 Police Interceptor. 148k miles. Vehicle runs perfect. Starts perfect, cruises perfect, and pulls hard and strong everytime. Transmission shifts perfect. Just passed inspection, so it's good until 2012.



Factory Specs:
-Ford's 4.6L V8
-Automatic Transmission
-Working AC
-Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Power Drivers Side Mirror
-Cloth Front Seats / Vinyl Rear Bench
-Functional Spotlight
-Pushbar



Upgrades:
-Brand New Headlight Housings and Bulbs
-Brand New General Altimax HP Tires
-Brand New Rubber Floormats
-Brand New Steering Wheel Cover
-Brand New brakepads
-Upgraded MP3 Headunit and Speakers
-5% Tint on Rear Half of Car



Bad:
-Has Check Engine light due to bad gascap. New gascap is all it needs.
-Front vents sometimes stay shut, then open later. Most likely a kink in the vacuum lines that control the airvent doors behind the dash. Easy fix.

I have to ask,

If it were simply a gas cap causing the evap code, a kink in the blend door hose causing the vent problem, and these were already diagnosed as an easy fix, wouldn't you have already fixed the "easy fixes"?

Tell me straight, does it have an evap leak that hasn't been found yet? (which would cause ot to fail inspection)

Is the blend door, or the blend door actuator broken? (which is a labor intensive fix)


I hate the old trick of listing a problem with a used car as an "easy fix". If the fixes were easy, they would have been performed already to avoid decreasing the value of the car.

I gotta say, I was thinking the same thing. Gas caps are like $7.

a garage went over the evap system and checked everything, cleaned it, and reset the light. came back about a week later. it didnt fail, it passed. the vent issue is an easy fix, i just dont have time to go behind the dash to find it. however, you have a valid point. im going to try to get a gascap tomorrow and maybe get behind that dash after work.

I had the opposite experience when I had my Interceptor. The second I got behind anybody they would slow down to a snail's pace. It was the worst on the highway. Once the big group of cars in front of me would see the car, they would all slow down and form a Pennsylvania Roadblock. It sucked.
