With Kartboy's short throw shifter overall shift throw is decreased by 40%, providing a noticeable difference and a solid feel. The Shift knob height will also drop 1" as well. Constructed of CNC'd and TIG welded 4130 Cr-Mo steel. It will install with simple mechanic's tools in under 30 minutes.

will I notice a big difference if I have the Perrin adapter vs the kartboy short shifter? I know the difference between stock and the kartboy is a lot, but what about between the adapter?

The only difference I could really see you noticing is the 1" lower shift knob. The throw will be about the same. The Perrin adapter will put the knob closer to you which I liked. It made it so I could rest my arm on the center console.
