Do you have a picture of the process or of the two flanges? This makes things sound a WHOLE lot easier!
Crap i just forgot about the whole 3.70 and 3.54 thing. I would need a 3.54 R&P or a diff from an 02-05 to make this happen. But I still want to know if I can do the same thing as I asked above assuming I have an 02-05 diff instead of an 06 WRX diff.

I have an R-160 for you if you want it. From an 05 WRX. $cheap.

Either will work with the right input flange.

    No pics. Sorry.

Price? I'm in Socal. So I can use the STi driveshaft with the R180 input flange on the 02-05 R160?

Can you point the right stuff out here? Will the 06 STi driveshaft work with the 02-05 R160 if I swap the R160 input flange with the R180 input flange? In other words, do I no longer need a WRX AT driveshaft?

Yup, Just swap the diff flange and good to go.

The smaller diff takes up less power to spin. Mo'speed.

Unless you are making 700HP, I'd save the $$.

I'll sell ya mine with a full refund if not happy for $99 plus shipping.

I have a UPS account at my business and will save on shipping. Also have Paypal

I'm on Ebay as "turbo2nr". I'll stick it on there if you feel the need for the added protection.

Also have a garage full of cr4p.

I'm on my 5th WRX platform now and have both an 07STi and my 05 WRX.

Also have a rocking LGT...Black with AVO 400 and JDM STi wheelz. Teh hottness for my wife.

    I own a Dental Lab... www.dominionmillingcenter.com

We Have CNC machine to make teeth out of a spaceage material. Yttrium Stabilized Zirconium Oxide. Melting point of over 3000F. I'm trying to scan an engine head and mill exhaust valves out of this stuff. "Ceramic Steel"
