    Safest way to launch

First of all I have tried searching for this and I know launching is bad for the 5 speed.
What is the SAFEST way to launch at a dragstrip? I have a 2005 WRX wagon with 80k miles.
Any help will be appreciated, please dont tell me to search or have negative comments.
I posted it in this thread because I didnt know which category to place this in.

I wouldn't say dump it. Hold it at the catch point and once u feel it catch, release foot from clutch in a manner similar to dumping, but not just sidestepping it. If ur clutch cam catch that is. Use launch control too. What is ur with?

I just wouldn't suggest doing it.

There is no safe way to launch the 2002-2007 WRX 5mt.

Yeah, don't do it. I replaced my clutch at 17k but I was also at close to 400wtq. If u want to have it last a good while, that is. If not go for it

Rev the engine to about 1800-2000rpm, then ease off the clutch and onto the gas simultaneously..

The clutch isn't what we are worried about here...

I'd not launch. If you must, be gentle about it and get a tiny bit more aggressive until you reach what you think is a launch. Bad things can and do happen. You have been warned.

rev motor to 5500, drop that bitch. make sure all tension goes to your drivetrain and not the clutch. The last thing we want is a burnt clutch.

Everything else. Be careful, don't ruin a perfectly good car to get a few tenths off your time. taking my 2011 to the track next week, but we have a little stronger tranny.
