So I took my car in to cantaur Subaru in Calgary (Canada) because my centre diff has been binding and making a grinding noise when i take sharp corners. I told the people inspecting it they had to drive it in circles in a parking lot to hear it, that way all wheels would be touching the pavement, but instead they put it up on a lift and turned the wheels from lock to lock... which showed them nothing because that does not cause the differentials to slip.. so they told me to replace my transmission which could cost up to six thousand dollars... does anybody know what the actual issue might be? like I said, grinding noises from the middle, possibly rear end. ??? (car is a 2006 wrx sti)
