How to Identify a Stock Short Shifter

    Hey guys,

How do I know if my WRX (04) came with a factory STi short shifter? The shift knob says "STi" on it. Is this standard with all WRXs?
I know, it's kind of a dumb question, but I am the second owner, and the guy I bought it from didn't say anything about it. I just need to be sure before I order a short shifter/bushing set.

    Thanks!

Pull up the shift boot. What color is the lever?

Knob has nothing to do with whether or not you have a short shifter. Pull off the boot and look at the shifter lever.

Sorry it took so long to get back.

The lever is gold-ish in color.
