Unhappy Just bought 04 WRX 2.0 and I f*d up already

    Hey all.

I just bought a 04 wrx Automatic transmission. Yes I know lame but I got it.

I was going to change the oil. But the dummy I am, I accidentally screwed off the transmission plug on the driver side and noticed right when it came out. Too late let it all drain out from there.

I need help. I don't know anything but oil changes which I screwed up.

Again I have a automatic transmission if that changes anything. I didn't drain anything else but the one plug near driver door.

The tranny fluid was changed a month ago. So this is pointless

How much do I put in at this point ? And what kind of tranny fluid do I use? Where do I put it in?

    Thank you guys.

I did, it says 10 quarts but there wasn't nearly 10 quarts that came out. Maybe half but I have no clue exactly.

The bolt in front of your face is the bolt I unscrewed
That's all I drained. I have no clue how much to put in.

Well I did my oil change now too.

Do you have access to a service manual?

The service manual should show you how to do what you need to do.

What do you want us to tell you?! The owners manual clearly states that the capacity for the transmission case is 10qt. Either you didn't drain all of the fluid, or you were running low to begin with.
