    No more than can be expected, really. Exposed metal will rust, so exhaust bits and unsealed or unpainted parts will have issues eventually, but Subaru does a good job at sealing and painting undercarriage bits (body paint is something of a different story). The main thing that comes to mind is I noticed and had a problem with, was that water had gotten under one of the caps over the rear strut mounts and rusted in there.

    In addition: Since the suspension has changed on 08+ models, I'm sure it is different now, but there used to be this channel on the rear knuckles that a very large bolt ran through that held the lateral links to the hub. Water gets in there and sits and rusts, making it impossible to remove without cutting and replacing.

    Aside from those mainly nitpicky things, I think my Subarus have held up to the elements better than most cars around here.
