    4th Gear Synchros Going.....

everytime i shift from 3rd to 4th or 5th to 4th, i have a small grind... this only happens at highway speeds, and only does it when the car is running at reg temps.... i have an extended warranty that i got when i bought the car... does know if this will be covered under "drivetrain"? and if so, does this mean, i have to replace my tranny?

    Maintenance up to date?

What fluid is in the gearbox? How many miles on the fill? Level look good?

There's a dipstick "under" the TMIC on passenger side. I'd start by doing a fluid drain and fill and see if that fixes the grind. Subaru Extra-S fluid is my recommendation. May as well do the rear diff too.
