    I think the only thing youll damage is the flywheel. kind of like when you drive too long on low brakes and you need new rotors instead of cutting them. but youre supposed to replace the flywheel with the clutch anyway

    yeah, im going to replace flywheel whens its time for a new clutch. now I need to figure out if I should pay my private mechanic 250 or shell out 660 to the dealership.

    For what? A clutch change at the dealer is $1400-$1600. Most private shops are $1200-$1400. Hell parts are more than $600.

    maybe do it yourself is 600, but its a laboring job. you're not going to get away with 660 when you need to drop the transmission let alone 250 regardless of where you go

    Typical "private" labor charges are around $300.. as others said, the clutch itself will be around $600.. depends on what parts you go with, but cheap clutches suck.

    the prices above are labor only. a stock clutch kit and flywheel will run me 750.

    you could also do an exedy oem replacement which I believe in around 300 minus the flywheel
