Transmission Blew in a 02 WRX

I have recently been in pursuit of a new transmission for my 02 wrx, like the title states, However I've ran into some snags a long the way and wanted some clarification on the topics at hand.

The transmission I have found is a JDM HP-TY754VB1AA. My question is will this transmission if my 02 WRX with the stock differential?

    If you look here....

You can see the two transmissions I am trying to compair.

    Subaru Transmission Chart

The website here will allow you to see the transmission codes and gear ratios for the impreza family.

In this thread on NASIOC I found the Final drive to be differnt than other places

WRX rear diff gear ratios (are '05 and '07 the same?) - NASIOC

Here are the key points from the links provided.....

    5MT transmissions
    '02-'05 WRX
    - 1.1:1 transfer gear
    - 3.900FD tranny
    - 3.545FD rear diff

    '06-'07 WRX
    - 1:1 transfer gear
    - 3.700FD tranny
    - 3.700FD rear diff

All in all im just confused with what Final drive even is...

    HowStuffWorks "Open Differentials"

This link details what a rear diff is and information on that ^^^^

    My question.

The ratio on NASIOC is a 3.454 FD and thats not the only place I have heard that
However Im loosing my mind on this topic so I need some second opinion

Final drive ratio same as diff ratio? - ScoobyNet

What threw me off was this quote from the above link....^^^

    Except that..................
European/UK (as opposed to Japanese)Subaru have a rear diff ratio of 3.545 and a front diff ratio of 3.9 but the rear diff is driven through the centre differential which has a drop gear of 1.1:1 which converts the rear 3.545 diff ratio to a 3.899 final drive ratio. To all intents and purposes 3.9 front and rear.

Jap boxes have a centre diff drop gear of 1.0:1 so diff ratios of 4.44,4.11 and 3.9 are also final drive ratios.
I am not sure why Subaru went to the trouble of complicating things with a 1.1:1 drop gear???????????????/

here, it states that both could be 3.9 but I have no idea.....

If im unclear please let me know This topic really needs to be covered so I can get a new freaking transmission in my car.

Keep in mind that I DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING the internet says, so dont try that on me.

Just trying to do some honest research on something before I buy it

I'll go ahead and add to this... The 2002 WRX has a 3.9 finaldrive with 3.54 rear diff. The rear diff is different because the drive ratio is 1:1.1 The WRX transmission C1iffyp is looking at is a 4.111 final drive which has a 1:1 drive ratio. So that means the differential the 4.111 final drive transmission requires is also a 4.111 rear differential
