honestly... probably fine. It's really difficult to get into gear from 3rd to second if you're at a high RPM. So I'm guessing you were shifting at like 5k or lower, right?

At 5500k in 3rd, you're at redline in 2nd (ish)... which is not enough to kill the engine from over speeding. And if you did kill the engine... it probably would've gone out quicker than you would've had time to drive home and post this.

Or at least you woulda known something was up.

Happens. I mess up shifts time to time. I'm more notorious for hitting third instead of fifth. Normally it's on the highway. I generally don't force the lever in at all, but sometimes it happens. I notice quite quickly when I let the clutch out and I see the passengers head hit the dash =P.

The worst little mess ups are when you think you popped it into neutral in a parking lot or whatnot... drop the clutch.... and find out you aren't in neutral. That's always a fun one.

It will blow up next time you do it. It only has a 3 misshift limit on the 5spd transmissions. So be careful.

    ...I kid I kid...Just be careful. You're probably fine.
