    Missed a gear...How bad

So this evening on my commute i was accelatering when i was shifting from 3rd to 4th at about 75 or 80 or so, I missed 4th and went into second... as soon as i left the clutch out the revs flew past 8 grand, i immedith gave it more clutch and went into 4th, all of this happened in like less than a second, The car drove fine afterward, but do u think i did alot of harm to the drivetrain or am i just overreacting???

I'm sure the car is fine... it can take a bit of abuse. Just don't make it a habbit and all will be good.

I have done this once on a VW and it was really no problem as engines are made to take some beating before they go out. Just don't make it a habit and no doubt your fine.

At what RPM? I'm usually around 3,000-3,500 RPMs in 5th going around 80-85 on the freeway.

Except if I had a six speed instead of " " I think a " " would be in order.
