the main reason they came up w/ the alk is to remove some anti- lift and some anti-squat that the factory dialed in- this is the opposite of what a lot of people think- w/ an alk you car will lift, squat/dive MORE, not less- HOWEVER w/ these geometries changed you get much better corner exit and corner exit is key to getting around a track or autox course fast

to the question of more camber up front- yes at some point it would be worth dialing in a few more tenths- you'll see after a few autox's that your outside is wearing faster than your inside (even though you've dialed in more neg camber which should have it wearing the opposite- which if you drove perfectly straight all the time it would)- no need to rush out right now- run few events then consider adding a little more camber up front
Thanks. I'll drive it like this for a while and check the tire wear and maybe later I will dial as much as neg camber as possible and see the difference then. Anyway I should see improvements over stock set-up. I never Auto-X-ed on anything other then the stock suspension set-up(including all-season tires). It should be a lot better now with the new set-up and RE-O1R tires.

Thank a lot guys for helping the Subaru community.

PS: I only hope I will be as knowledgeable as you in any Subaru field so I can help others the same way I've been helped.

I'd be very surprised that any ALK could net more than a 1/2 to degree of caster- linky?

    GT Spec Antilift Kit:
    a. Made of aircraft grade 7075 aluminum.
    b. Uses a rubber bushing which is much stiffer than the softer factory rubber ones.
    c. Adds 3.27 degrees of caster.

Yeah, I understood that was borrowed, but Unabomber is a better source than any canuk (jkjk!)

I believe you, but I've read that elsewhere as well... so I'm going to debunk this. I emailed GTSpec.

    camber plates?

I'm looking into getting some H&R lowering springs for my 09 WRX. Would i have to get camber plates to be able to get it properly aligned afterward?

Hmmm went and got my alignment yesterday, they said they could only get my front camber to -0.9 both sides. considering the OEM spec is -1.3 to -0.8 I'm gonna say he didn't try hard enough maybe?

    Also my rear camber is

    Left -2.5 Right -1.7

That is almost a 1 degree gap I'm going to assume some camber bolts are in order?

Also what is the Ideal for the Included Angle? OEM says 12.6 to 14.6 how important is this?

cars vary- so it's possible they squeezed it all out (also possible they didn't)- often you see one side where you get more- say -1.3 and the other only -1.0- usually better to even them up (which means reducing camber on one side)

-2.5 is very high for rear camber- yes good candidates for camber bolts

Thanks for the info, I'm going to run down and get some camber bolts after work. Maybe I'll get some for the front too and see if I can get my front a bit more negative.
