Thumbs up STi rims/rubber on a stock height 02 wagon [56K warning]

Got some STi take offs from board member Red Rocket. They FIT! (stock height 02 wagon). The closest contact points are between the rubber and the rear struts, so I don't think rubbing is going to be an issue for me. (Right?) I could turn in/out the wheel also with no rubbing.

I will mention they are indeed more heavy then the stockers. I plopped one tire/wheel on our bathroom scale and they weigh in just over 40 pounds!!!!

Guess I'm gonna have to do a performance mod next. Pix follow.

    Thumbs up

    Looks good!
You'll know if you have a rubbing problem. You will hear it. It is quite obvious. I doubt you will.

I'd count this as a performance mod. Those are some grippy tires. And that weight isn't too bad. I wouldn't be surprised if those are 25 lb tires. Thats just a guess though. I have no idea what the STi wheels weigh.

    Uh huh. According to this
STi wheel weight post the rims weight is 16/18 ...so yeah, the extra rubber adds teh poundage.

I realized the weight wasn't too too bad when my stockers weighed about 38 on the same scale.

The ride (just around town) has been good so far. A little weird tracking/pull moment tonight but the car as a whole seems to ride a lot more "flat" and "level" and I like that. I do wonder how they'll fair in the rain.

They are w/o question, worth the 1900$ I spent for some forged BBS and STi vibe.
