Yup..... the 914 is gone. It's been up for sale for a few months, but after all, it's wintertime, and we're talking about a 35 year old Porsche... not exactly an easy sale.

Nevertheless.... the 2nd person that came to look at it.. bought.... full price.

So.... if you happen to see a bright green 1972 Porsche 914 roadster running around the St. Charles area... make sure you say hi.

#1 Question: What the hell am I going to do about my handle?? (ninefourteener)

Anyway... I paid off a LOT of bills, got out from under quite a bit of debt, lowered my insurance... and of course.. picked up a high dollar item I wanted for the Suby.

18x8 Rota GOLD Formula Mesh wheels + Kuhmo SPT KU-31 235/40/18 tires (agrressive tread pattern, 280 tread wear)

Got a free set of spline lugnuts and lugnut key... plus mounting and balancing.

Obviously I don't have pictures yet.. because I don't expect the wheels until early the week after next. But... I found this nice bugeye on the Subydude website with the same color pattern as me.

You know though.... I miss the 914. My garage has an empty space now (

[porschefanboy]That is one sharp 914! It's sad to see that go [/porschefanboy], but it sounds like it was a smart financial move. The new wheels look great too, that looks like a decent deal for 18x8's with tires.
