Can I change my wheel size?

I just traded in my 2013 wrx for a 2014 sti. I had brand new winter tires on the 2013 and kept them when I bought the sti. The wheel size on the 2013 was 17 inches and the 2014 sti is 18 inches. Can I put 17 inch rims on the 2014 even though it came with 18 inch rims? I want to switch them for summer and winter.

You can put 17's on the sti if the offset of the wheel is enough to clear your brembos. The wheels from your wrx will not fit the sti though because the bolt patterns are different. Not sure if you keep just the tires or the wheels as well. Trying to figure that out from your post. Maybe I havent had enough coffee this morning.

Thank you for your answer. That helps me a lot. No, I just kept the tires not the wheels.

You know that the WRX and STI have different bolt patters right?

go to a website like tirerack.com and look at some of the wheels there. You can plug in your car info and it will pull up only the wheels that fit your car and the specs of them as well.

I just did that. Looks like I can get wheels to fit my tire size. Thanks again!

You also need to make sure they will clear the Brembos

Guys, the OP knows the WHEELS WON'T THE HUBS. He/she is asking if the tires will fit wheels that can fit the hubs.

    Answer is: yes.
