    Wheel size questions

    Hey guys,

So I've been trying to educate myself on wheel sizes/specs but I still have a few questions... so excuse my n00b-ness.

My current wheel set up is the stock 17x7.5 and I know I would like to increase to an 18, but is there any benefit/notable difference in an 18x9 vs 18x8? Or is it more for looks?

Any pictures people would like to post/share is much appreciated!

You could get a wider tire on a 9" width, but you probly wouldn't notice it visually unless the wheel design is different between those two widths. You might want to check out the scca rulebook if you're buying them for competetion, certain tire and wheel sizes will put you in a class you don't want to be in.

If you need some serious info about wheels and tires, TireRack has more than enough technical articles to answer any question in the book.
