Looking for new tires for 2002 WRX

Finally wore out the last of my Falken Azenis. That model has been on
the car since I wore out the original Bridgestones in 2004. (I had several
    sets of Falkens)
What's the hot ticket these days? I don't deal with snow at all and not
much rain. The Azenis were a "minimal tread" tire, almost a DOT slick.
Size I'm looking for is 205-55-16.

Decided to go with Dunlop Direzza ZII. TR had them for a decent price and decent reviews.
    Hopefully they work out well.

what are the details of the car? i'll be looking for new tires as soon as the suspension arrives...

i had a 2004 GTO with 400 to the tires and i fell in love the the Sumitomo HTRZ II tires.

great price, great looks and always performed fantastically for me, in wet or dry weather.

granted, here in houston we don't have many seasons, so i have no idea what a winter tire even is.

My employer at the time (2002) bought it for me. It's totally stock. Probably the only stock one in existence.

Check out TireRack for what they have on sale. Kumho XSs, if still available, are very sticky if max treadlife is not a concern.

Already put Dunlop Direzza ZII's on the car and doesn't look like TR had any in stock anyhooo.
My only successful experience with Kumho has been limited to the Victoracer tires......
