    Clinking noise

I've search all over the web.

    1. Abs noise
    2. Power steering noise

I can't rule out the power noise, but I know its not the abs noise. After I got an alignment my 2013 sti (at the dealer) started to make a metal to metal clinking noise when I turn the steering wheel from lock to lock. It's louder when I'm reversing . Before I take it to the dealer I wana know if other have the same issue. Plus the dealership is 40 miles from me.

I jack up the car and turned the wheel and it sounds like a spring popping or the top hat making the noise. I loosened the 3 12mm nuts holding the strut on and the noise went away. I tightened it and the noise come back.

    Opionions needed thanks

Take it to the dealer...its worth the 40 miles to not have to pay for anything. It's under warranty.

I have one more theory/fix before I take it in. It could the the saybar bushing. Ill put some grease on it. If it does not fix the problem I'll take it to the stealership.

I do not like the dealership. I feel I can do a better job fixing it myself, but it's warrenty work.

Your car comes with a warranty for exactly this reason. Don't risk a denied claim by messing with it yourself.

    Are they aftermarket sway bars?

Interesting...never heard stock sway bars make noise.

It's almost impossible to diagnose a noise over a visual medium...so post a video of what you're hearing so we can listen. Otherwise, I think you're going to be SOL trying to get an answer here.

Thanks for the input guys. If the grease does not fix the problem. Ill abuse the warranty.
