    Ok gotta make a choice...

I had emailed TIC that EJ loves so much and basically asked that aside from tires and camber, what the single best suspension mod is. I ask that because I don't have much money to spend right now... MAYBE 250-300. Would I just be better off with getting a single sway bar or something else? Can't afford tires and I don't need them right now. I also only have the upgraded brake lines and I want the absolute best stopping pad out there. I know I know, the tires... but right now my brakes aren't locking the tires anyway... I would like to feel like I had brakes better than my Honda Accord though.

haven't heard back from them. I did talk to MainFrame on chat though... I think I might just go with the Eibach sway bar kit. They are hollow bars but 25/22 so I don't think they would be to bad. Can't afford the whitelines and honestly, I don't like so many of the rust reviews I've seen about them. I'm not going to track the car or anything so i'll just start there and as I get some extra money (won't be for a while) then i'll try to pick up a few more things here and there.

Got an email back from TIC. They said they would recommend the sways and end links of course and I had also asked them about brake feel. They recommended the master cylinder brace but hell if I want to do that install with all of the issues I've seen others have with it! They said that the HPS+'s would have the best bite if I could deal with the noise (this is because I wanted to know which ones would stop the hardest and best) but that I could also go with stoptech's which I've read a lot of people say they liked better than the HPS+'s because they had a more mushy feel to the pedal.

I'm very bad with this sort of thing... I read it but what does it actually do? I seems like it just makes it turn better correct? Does it do anything about making the car feel top heavy like an ice cream truck?

Maybe instead of getting something that's not "to bad", try waiting a bit longer to get something that is good or better. That will give you time to have a thought-out package.

I DO understand being anxious to do something NOW, though ;-)

It corrects the suspension geometry and stops the wheels from lifting while cornering, under acceleration, and under braking. You will get:

    Noticeably less under-steer.
    Noticebaly flatter cornering.
    Noticeably more front grip.
More stability due to added caster.

So you have the 06, what about mine being a 2012? Isn't it more stiff that those earlier models?

no that's a good point, but I have read a lot of good reviews on the Eibach set-up. I've also read a lot of rust issues with the whitelines. I may go in the middle and go with Perrin's hard kit.

no it does, i'm just wondering since I know the car was supposed to be stiffer. I'm surprised more people haven't suggested.

Ok, i'm still up in the air about which sways to get and might have to save some money, but the brake pads I am definitely going to do. I CANNOT STAND the pathetic brakes on this car. As I mentioned earlier, TICs had recommended the HPS+ first and then the ST's. I know the ST's are much cheaper... which pad (with better tires I realize) would be more likely to throw me through the windshield or make my eyeballs feel like they just popped out and snapped back in? I don't want a mushy pedal which some people complain about with the HPS+ but said the ST's had really good initial bite.

The also had recommended the MC brace... and I know they know their stuff but man I've been reading more and more and no one has seemed to have an easy time on that install.
