    low offset wheel for rallycross

So someone is selling me some titan alloy wheels which are 16x7 5x100 et 42. With barium tires all four for $60! I would only use these for rallycross but I'm worried about that low offset. What do y'all think?

Yes, the offset seems a little low. For 7" wheels, I believe the acceptable offsets are between +50 and +55.

Considering they are only 16 inch you probably wouldn't have any rubbing issues, but your car would not handle as good. You suspension would not perform how it was intended with the wheels that far out. Your contact patch would most likely be negatively effected, and you would probably do poorly in your rallyx compared to if you used your stock wheels. Not sure exactly how, but your suspension would have to me modified somehow to work properly with that set up and you would certainly want to get a new alignment.

maybe it is just worth $60 for the tires themselves?

Okay how about forester XT wheels that are a 16x6.5 +48? Would those be okay to run or still too low of an offset?
