Im going with an 18x8.75 wheel. Im just curious as to what offset i should get. I found a thread with a chart a while back but now i cant find it. From what i understood i should be looking into a +30 to +35 offset......

    Who told you this?!

Absolutely incorrect. Proper wheel offset for a 7.5" wheel should be between +48mm and +55mm.

Just FYR, for your sanity, most in the Subaru community consider XXR wheels "junk"

Yeah +30 to +35 is going to make your car handle not so great...not to mention stick way out of your fenders and require fender rolling or pulling (most likely). General rule of thumb is not to deviate from stock offset too far if you don't want to mess too much with the handling. For an 18x8.75 you don't want to go much less than +45 (or +44 depending on brand) and that will still be close since you don't have the larger fenders that the 2011 has. I have a +45, but it is a 9 inch wheel. Some popular brands are Rota (grids are a fairly common wheel on the wrx), Rays (Volk - expensive), Work Wheels (also expensive), Enkei (obviously I recommend that one). There are many options, but these seem to be the most common chosen by Subaru drivers and are all great quality. Rota's are going to be the cheapest of the suggested brands.

check out this thread...It says 2011/2012, but it will give you an idea. (although I think the 2010 has 7 inch wheels rather than 8 inch but it is the same offset and bolt pattern). Keep in mind the wrx didn't go wide fender until 2011, so if you go extreme offset you would probably need more fender pulling/rolling.

Rimsntires.com has a great fitment tool on their page. Allows comparisons of all variables in wheels/tire fitment. I ended up at 18x8.5 +40 on my 10' hatchback. Lowered about 1.5" or so and zero rubbing and no need to roll or pull.

Sorry if I repeated anything, couldn't read the whole thread in an EC meeting after all!

I thought i read it somewhere. Its going to be almost a 9" wheel not 7.5. Yea i kno xxrs r cheaper wheels and alot of people hate on them but i like the way they look and im not building a race car so F it.

I don't trust any website that refers to wheels as "rims"

You have almost exactly what i will have wheel and suspension wise. How close is it to sitting flush with the fenders? Do you have any pictures i could check out?

I'll take a better pic straight down the side of the car but, IMO, the center of my wheels are exactly even with outside line of the fender. Actually, because of the shape of my wheel spokes, they appear to barely stand out past the fender. The tops of the tires sit inside the fender, the center of the wheels are pretty even with the fender, the bottoms sit just outside of the fender ....all results of camber obviously.

What year car are you? Sorry...on my phone or I'd go dig a little.
