lookin to upgrade suspension on 04 WRX wagon

Hey guys. I'm looking for some help here. I've got an 04 WRX wagon. I want to make it ride smoother and handle better. Wouldn't mind droppin' it a little too. i am on a budget though (still in college). What kind of suggestions do you have?

should do a little research but from experience tanabe's have done me well. they won't break your bank so you'll have money for school and ride a little lower.

Agree with the save money for now comment. But, I doubt you can "smooth" the ride while lowering it for handling. Most, if not all lowering springs are stiffer. A lot of us think that ride is "better" but not "smoother."

On an 04, your struts are likely in need of replacement, as are your top hats, so springs will be expensive.

    Tires
    Alignment
    Parts

That should be your modification order

100% this. If you get the first two done, I would then continue to save your money. You can always cruise the classifieds to find a good deal on some lightly used parts though. Just make sure you know what you're buying so you don't end up making the ride worse.
