Just a few years back, the WRX came stock with UHP All Season tires, believe they were the Bridgestone RE960...then Subaru choose to have the WRX come stock with Summer Performance tires...here in the North East, during winter and snow...drivers swapped out the stock summer tires for dedicated snow tires for the season, and then put their Summer Performance tires back on, once the weather turned consistently warm...

I'm pretty sure Maus was joking...at the fact that he lives in Florida...

And those UHP tires on the 06-07 WRXs were possibly the worst tires anyone could have ever driven on. Look up old stories about them. They were terrible.

So if I got this right, the OP switched to all season tires in winter & put the stock summers back in spring?

Did you have a 06-07 WRX with those tires? Did they really disappoint you?
Don't know if the stock tires on a 2006 WRX were BS because I never owned one...but the UHP A/S tires that came stock on my 2005 WRX, never let me down @ ALL!!!...in all driving conditions...and I beat the HELL out of that WRX in the Winter Seasons and early Spring with Mud and potholes...I took it out during hot summer days, carving up the Highway and local roads, and they worked flawless!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Why did a thread about summer tires start to turn into an advertisement for all seasons?

I'm not usually in the snow a lot, but I spent about a week in the smokeys in nothing but snow in December and I think my dunlop sp sports did good but I also don't know whats actually good traction in the snow.
