    Even with just a 1" drop in the rear I went ahead and got corrected control arms to keep things in line.

    MainFrame, does your car have McPherson struts in the rear or do you have a new model like the OP? I wonder if the new rear end is more/less tolerant of drops.

    He has a 2003 which has standard trailing-arm McPherson strut.

    2002..yea, McPherson style strut. I wasn't even thinking about the rear suspension redesign. If I had to guess, I would say that it probably is more tolerant to drop. . Just a guess though.
