Get WINTER tires live in ct too didn't change over my tires in time for the storm and it was pretty ugly even just pulling into parking spots at less than 5 mph. Going to get my blizzards on ASAP!!!

    Just saw this guy.

I run 17" rota's with blizzaks on 'em in the winter. They clear the caliper with millimeters to spare (both diameter wise and front to back spoke clearance). I'd see if when the balance the tires they can keep the weights away from where the edge of your calipers sit - I had to sorts chisel mine down a bit so they didn't scrape the caliper.

Let me know if you want more details.

I have an 07 STI and I ran the General Altimax Arctic's last winter and just had them put back on today. They preform awesome. More so then higher priced tires. Not that other tires out there are not as good but for the best value for the money and out standing performance I would not consider another tire.

I would use Conti DWS' best tire out there next to a snow tire... BUT they will take you through any snow you encounter.
