Good thread that someone on NASIOC pointed me to, as they had a similar question:
pink spring help!!! - NASIOC
Based on this, it appears that my rear springs may be STi v8 Tarmac springs with a rate of ~290lbs/in.
No new info on the fronts just yet.
This is a discussion on Help me identify these pink springs within the Suspension & Wheels forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; I just picked up a set of "STI pink" springs, and I'm trying to figure out just what I have ...
I just picked up a set of "STI pink" springs, and I'm trying to figure out just what I have as the paint markings don't seem to add up.
For starters, here's a picture from the seller of the springs:
I've found a TON of threads that mention that the JDM pink springs should have blue paint markings front and rear, yet only the rear springs in my set have a blue/light purple paint dab, with the fronts having a yellow paint dab.
Does this mean that I have the JDM rate rear springs and USDM/unknown rate front springs?
For reference, a few threads that I've found:

What'd the seller say they were?

If they are tarmac rear and USDM or even JDM fronts, I would not even consider running them in combination. Your rear rate at 290 is well above hte front rate of even the JDMs - that isn't going to work out well at all for the balance of the car.

The guy in that NASIOC thread BigSky is the one to listen to - he is also a moderator here.

those appear to be Tarmac springs- orange dab front springs, blue/purple rear- great springs I ran them on my 04 WRX wagon, but they are firm (342/2985)- you need a good damper to run them (Koni), they will not be a good match w/ a "normal" damper
