I have an '03 WRX and part of my steering/suspension on the drivers side is broken. i looked at a diagram and it looks like it is the Stabilizer link. But the diagram also says that the "turbo sedan" is exempt. Since my car is a turbo sedan I have a feeling that is not what I need. It's just a small piece maybe 4-5in long with a small ball joint on either end. The ball joints connect the stabilizer to the wheel. Does anyone know what this is? Also if anyone could give me any pointers on replacing it that would be much appreciated thanks.

Sounds like you're describing the front driver side swaybar endlink. They're known for snapping. You can purchase aftermarket endlinks from several manufacturers to replace them, but might I suggest while you're in there you replace the sway bar as well.
