    Why would you run wider wheels if you plan on keeping the stock sized tires? That just adds weight and decreases performance/economy.

    Is this directed at me? If so I would not run wider than stock tires on stock wheels. If I advised anyone to do so I did not intend to but can't find where I did.

    Ah I think you are right...I also read it wrong...I thought Mr. Z was asking why would you run wider than stock tires if you were running stock wheels as well. That's what I get for reading on my IPhone tiny screen!

    But i think WRX tires are stock at 235 rather than 245. A better size tire would be 8.5 or 9 if you were looking to run wider without rubbing.

    Thanks guys. I just really don't wanna modify my fenders. So I'm hoping to stretch the ties to clear my fenders. I am also running full Ksport coilovers. The wheels that I'll be running are 18x9.5 +40. BBS LM's.

    Got my wheels and tires on last week. Xxr 527's 18x8.75 et35 with 265/35 bridgestone potenza re760. Sitting on BC BR coilovers. Rear fenders rolled.
