Actually any color you like.... i just happen to like gold

make sure you have a day to 2 days nice warm above 60F weather or if your lucky you have a nice warm garage !

    1.Go to Home Despot
    2.Find Spray Paint Aisle
3.Choose paint i went with rustoleum (optional buy clear coat either matt or gloss)
for a set of four wheels (i used 4 cans colored paint and 2 cans clear coat)
4.Get 1." and 2" masking tape, 260 or fine sand paper sheets, get spray can spray handle attachment.

    Ok directions:
1.Wash wheels inside and out with warm soapy water to clear off brake dust ,grime etc

2.sand wheel outside and inside makes it easier for the paint to adhere
rinse off wheel again with clean water and let dry.

3.Once dry using the 1" masking tape nearest the wheel edge mask off where the tire meets the rim.

4.once done use the 2" masking tape to mask off rest of the tire sidewall
or optional use news paper. Then take some tape and mask off the valve stem.

5.do same as steps 3.and 4. with inside of wheel/tire.
(u can skip this step if your not gonna go all out for the "factory" look.)

6.Painting I started from the rim and circled in until completly covered (after each spray i waited for it to dry)

7.once i had done both the outside and the inside of the wheel and it was dry , i then used the clear coat for a more factory look.

No more tears, dance for joy. He or you or anyone can use his method and generate whities at will. Stocker whities, BBS/STi whities, 01 RS whities, any whities.

I was under the impression that his whities were a bit more "rare" then BBS's spray painted....if that matters to anyone.

They are, from the pics I've seen they seem to be from an Sxxx series car. But it's good to have the method out there so anyone can make whities. Some of the Rota wheels would look great in white (and don't already come in it from what I saw), and I think the late model stockers would also look good.

    That I wont deny.

Spray painting over ultra rare 1500 dollar rims.....that's a tad bit different story I'd suppose.

Now what do you do if you have so much brake dust...you can't wash it off? Should I just sand it off and then rinse?

Stupid STI Limited Enkeis are so dirty and aren't looking good anymore. I think its time to make them Gunmetal and turn them into my winter rims

for you duplicolor guys, another option is duplicolor wheel paint..i had good experiences with duplicolor...but weasel's wheels came out great with the rustoleum paint. and he tells me he's had good experiences with rustoleum as well. nice job on the diy
