So this is a must when doing the swap then? wonder how much i can find it for? Not many salvage yards if any at all have Impreza's let alone WRX's where would I look for that part? Or does removing it just make it easier to install the control arms? Im thinking of doing this on the 92x.

You just remove it for the install - it isn't much harder than taking off the wheels.

Very cool. really am thinking about this conversion. Especially scince the wagon specific parts are few and far between. Like struts, and sway bars.
