    2015 WRX - J-Pipe vs Turbo Back

Hello all.. new to the forums so bear with me. I just purchased my Cobb Accessport with the intention to upload Stage 1 maps now and eventually install a J pipe and upload Stage 2 maps. My car currently has an STI cat-back exhaust (OEM) installed. Will this be compatible with the Cobb J pipe, or should I invest in the Cobb Turbo-back exhaust?

What do the map notes say?

Map notes calls for a Turbo Back Exhaust, but Cobb's Turbo Back Exhaust is a Cat Back and a J Pipe combo. So as opposed to spending 2K on the TBE, I would rather spend about $700 on the J pipe with my current Catback.

Do the notes specify a brand? Is your current catback exhaust 3" from the joint to the muffler?

The COBB catted j pipe will work with the STI performance exhaust. There is an OTS map, though obviousily a pro tune will net better results.

Thanks Goose... kinda what I figured. Zax, the maps notes call out an aftermarket or Cobb exhaust.

Were this an EJ powered car, I would confidently tell you to run any catback exhaust with that map. Be it that this is the new platform I delegate the question to the experts. Glad this could be resolved.

That was my source(said experts), COBB. I spoke with COBB Surgeline recently because that will be my exact setup.
