    SPT Intake doesn't fit!?

Hey guys so I just bought an SPT intake and it doesn't fitin the engine bay (see pics) it's like my inlet hose is too long. I have no idea why and I can't move the inlet up any further. I tried posting on NASIOC and all I got was grief. Lol so any advice would be helpful. I have an 06 STI and the inlet is an AVO inlet. This may sound absurd but it's the only viable option I've come up with, is to trim down my inlet hose with an exacto, but I'ld really rather not do that for obvious reasons. Lol here's the pic of my predicament.

Yeah, I agree. The avo inlet is too long. Google image search for wrx SPT intake. It should look more like those images.

Here's what you need to do. The AVO hose is long for a reason. It's supposed to replace the turbo inlet tube and the post MAF tube. Take the black post MAF tube off of the SPT intake, then insert the intake directly onto the AVO inlet.

Then report back to us before you do anything else silly. Like paint a rising sun on your intercooler ...hope that was just the right amount of grief with the right amount of helpfulness.

Thanks so much just the right amount haha I ended up putting it in and it was still about a 1/4 in too long but I was able to squeeze it in with the right amount of adjusting. Lol

Glad everything worked out. Don't worry about all the people acting rude. It's the Internet. At one point in time, we were all noobs. Lol.
