Cruise control is disabled when a DTC is thrown. What's the code (P####) being given?
If you don't have your own way, go to your local parts store (Autozone, Pep Boys, etc.) and borrow their code reader. They won't charge you.

So my cruise control light was flashing in my 2007 STI. The check engine light was NOT on, and I was driving on snowy icy roads.
The cruise control did not work.
Can I assume the car disabled the cruise control because it thought wheels were slipping?

Crap, I meant to say, the check engine light was NOT on. I read all these other ones about the CEL being on, I accidentally typed that.
