Would it be possible if we could keep track of dealers in the area we know to be mod friendly?

First off, welcome to the forum. Secondly, if we make a forum of "mod friendly dealers" then when Subaru of America looks through the boards, then those dealers won't be mod friendly for long, as their service departments will be getting action taken against them. If you're looking for a mod friendly dealer, hopefully someone can PM you with suggestions.
I have an STi with an intake and no tune, I never change my oil, and my wheel spacerz are mad tyte.

Dealer stances have changed in the past. For example I know of one dealer that once sold imitation parts and installed them as well; they no longer do that as far as I can work out. A second nearby dealer still did last I checked.

"Mod-friendly" dealers essentially "rip off the other guy and pass the savings on to you" in my opinion. I suppose this is as gooda business practice as any other, all things considered, but in general I avoid them.

However a list as you suggest would be useful -- to users initially, and to SOA later on. By all means, go ahead and start one.

    Thanks for welcoming me,
With that being said a list probably isn't the best decision actually. Would anybody be kind enough to PM me a couple places that wouldn't mind if I have a few mods on my wrx? I live in orange county and would really appreciate the help.

You may not get a ton of replies. This is typically frowned in because it's causing issues for people who don't modify their cars having warranty claims denied.

You can also try nasioc and see if someone there has some ideas.

I've heard Renick Subaru is ok with intakes and are a tad more liberal than the others but I wouldn't push your luck. Only local dealer that would be like that in socal
