a few posts back there is

the idea was to caravan for you guys up north with anson, he knows the way down and will take a canyon.

that's still the plan, tho looks like he might be alone on this canyon run.

i might already be in vista/oceanside so most likely no run for me.

not even sure if anson was still planning on doing it.

Yeah, straight bolt on. should be cake, especially on an 07 (bolts aren't sticky). You may need to get a breaker bar in case the impact gun doesn't fit in the tight quarters.

As for the canyon run, if there are enough people who are coming, I'd like to show up & get going instead of hanging around for a bit. I'll have my wife & son with me, so waiting around isn't all that fun for them. Plus the food and gear in the back will be clanging around during the twisties.

We'll need to pick a rendezvous point in the IE somewhere.

15-South ---> Rancho California (west) ---> La Paz (left) --> dumps onto mission road ---> 76 west ---> Oceanside. (22mi of canyon).

So far it's Me, Gus, and MAYBE paul. If Paul can't make it, I'll just meet you at the beach.

I will start grilling @ 4pm sharp. Eric & Jason might be there by 1pm.

the only pits are on the south side of the pier. there's a whole slew of them, so choose whichever & we'll have to spread the word when you find a good spot.

failed attempt number 1 at the tranny.

couldn't get the axles off for the life of me. i'm guessing just maybe it's because i didn't detatch them from the hubs first? seemed like there's plenty of play room but i just couldn't get them to pop out.

    aaaaaagh.

yes, need to loosen the axle nut. If you think about the rotors/hubs, it can swing downward. with the axle nut off, the hub can swing down and the axle will have room to move.

When i did mine, I swiveled the axle at the boot while removing from the hub. essentially, the axle was just hanging on by the tranny.
