You got to show proof. That is what it is all about. Seeing as how it is possible to make this acommodation by showing (in court) that you were insured w/o a way to prove it,at the time of the citation. It would seem logical that the one thing that was legal (insurance) would also be waved.

I have recieved a "no insurance ticket" before 'cause I couldn't show prof that it was insured, ie: didn't have the new card. The moment I went to court to show that I was insured, but didn't have my new insurance card they let it go with a $25 court proccessing fee.

I am sure that with a small amount of persistance and logical explanation the fine will be dropped by half

How does that work? I know it's a good thing on my end, but the cashier at the court told me to show it to the judge or sumthin to get the bail corrected.

    - Insurance: Find a current statement showing the date of your policy. Also have proof of payment (you can even call your insurance company to fax you a copy of your current status)

    - Pictures of the muffler pipe. If you had a whistle tip, and "removed" it like they COULD claim, you'd have obvious weld marks, clean marks, evidence of post-tampering.

Anything you can think of, bring a copy. If you walk in with a manila file folder of stuff, you're more likely to gain an advantage for being organized on the court date.
