    YEEEEEHAWWWW!

New Turbo is in. I'm still taking it easy for "break in" in addition to lack of proper injectors. After taking off the oil line feeds, I didn't realize I was supposed to have 2 compression washers.

Needless to say, i turned the motor over & a heard a hissing noise....OIL all over the floor, the engine bay, the turbo, everywhere. So another 3 hrs go by and everything is good now. The even though a run to the auto store got the right compression washers, the block & steel braided lines needed some work from my grinder for clearance and proper seating of the banjo bolt.

Now my car smokes like a jerky shack. I guess it will be few hundred miles before all of the oil in the bay burns off.

    to clean it:

when the engine is cold. spray it down heavily with simple green, but not directly on wires, harnesses, then let it soak for 5 mins and spray it off with water, then use compressed air to dry things up and move the water off the wires and such...it works like a charm

When it happened, my friends neighbor came out of nowhere with some bottle of "special stuff" he said. he started spraying it on the street, the engine bay, everywhere. I said, "it smells like laundry detergent"....it was liquid tide w/ some water (just to loosen it up from sticking in the spray pump). It soaked, rinsed off, it was beautiful...and spring fresh. He claims its the cleaner of choice when he's cleaning up his generators (industrial sized for water treatment plants). worked for me!

I'll try the simple green and see how it compares.
    Thanks!

I wouldn't think you can go wrong with a Japanese made, bellmouth downpipe. I would certainly recommend a heat wrap, so you might not need to bother with fancy finishes.

As for install meet, I would also like to know. I have injectors to install (if I don't do them myself in the garage in the late night). Instead, I'll just show up & help out you guys.
