driving style? track often? how comfortable are you with the drop? From my personal experience, the prodrives were definitely too soft for WOT in my setup. I might have several hundred extra pounds of gear in the back, but it got really sloppy at higher speeds.

I have no idea how the cobbs compare, but from what I can see, the drop is a bit lower and springs are a bit stiffer. good combo for the setup you have.

I have my stock 5speed around. You can take it to a drive shaft shop in San Pedro for about $120 and have it professionally chopped & balanced.

That's what I did with my swap.

darn a used driveshaft is like $75...but thanks for the idea, i have my stock 5spd driveshaft sitting around too.

i currently have a forrester auto driveshaft on my car and while the car's driveable, the driveshaft sits a bit crooked under the car because it's too long or due to incorrect location of the bracket, not sure.

you think having a crooked DS could mess things up in the long run? or rub power?

the immediate issue is that the crooked DS is preventing me from putting my 3'' catback on since there's no space...

A crooked driveshaft will definitely cause premature wear....it also adds forces in a direction other than what's intended (causes stress on joints).
