hey guys do you know if the rear diff, axles and hubs off an 04 STi will bolt on to my bug eye? I'm getting all that to complete my brembo set up.

I know that I can buy the braket and special rotors when u do a sti to wrx swap..but I rather swap the whole rear end. I'm planing on getting better sti rotors and I don't want to be restricted by the fact that I can only use one set of rotors.

The rear diff for the 04STI is made for the 6 speed (different ratio). if you want, you can go as far as swapping the pinion gears inside the diff, but that might not be worth it.

you'll have a car that has different drive ratio up front vs back.

This is just what i'm gathering in my head about this:

    - Diff contains 3.9 gears. WRX uses 3.54 gears.
    - Rear brembos rely on the rear hubs
    - those rear hubs rely on those rear axles
    - those rear axles rely on the diff HOUSING
    - the hipbone connects to the thigh bone

So you can swap the entire rear end, but need to stick with the 3.54 gears to have it work with your 5 speed. OR get a 6 speed and to all 4 corners.

You can get it all anyway. we'll make it fit. worse comes to worse, it doesn't go on & you can sell it. All these folks on NASIOC are notorious for talkin' the talk based off what they "read" or "heard". Not from the actual work themselves. That's what burns me most about that place & some of the people who live there. (former F4, pimp my ride)

Talk to Z3R0 when a meet comes up. we've had some problems with quality members and getting the right amount of chlorine in the gene pool.

I'm not saying anything to discourage...there are a lot of good people in this world but it's getting harder to find them.
