    need some help

    hey im new to the forum i just got my first wrx. i got a used 07 sti with 90k miles on it call me a dumb as* idc lol car runs great only issue im having is no boost in first gear but sec third fourth and so on almost like it wants to fall on its face until 4500rpms or so.... also the car has a wide band in it and does not read anything it cuts on thats about it any ideas on any of this


    Mods that i know of

    Greddy turbo back (looks like)

    cold air intake

    BC coils most likley going to sell dont like the ruff ride

    no idea if it has been tuned or not i did see that the green connector was connected so i unplug that so think it may have had been dun if not what dose a tune run

    If your check engine light isn't on it must have been tuned, you can't safely run those mods without a tune. Normally a tune will cost from $300-$500.


    Sounds to me like you need to find a good Subaru performance shop in your area and have them look over it. You should be hitting full boost about 1000rpm sooner than that. It's difficult to troubleshoot it over the internet if you don't have a way to log.

    I'm going with mainframe. You need a tune.
    The previous owner or whatever probably flashed it back to stock(you need the green connectors connected to flash).
    Which I'm assuming was to sell their accessport separately.

    ya more i think about it starting to see i got the wrong car but now have it time to make it work no accessport bring the car to a Subaru performance guy thats all he works on see if he can help me out and about the coils i found out they are on stiff so i tuned it down lil on the softer side not as bad and bought the car up and inch now can clear speed bumps could i just get and accessport and do it my self or is it best to dyno tune
