    So the DIY oil change thread has a bum link, prob bc its from 2003...can someone update/add a new how-to for noobs, mainly those with 09 wrxs lol thanks

    It's not very difficult...

    Get the car in the air (ramps or jackstands)
    Remove the plastic undertray from below the engine
    Remove oil filter
    Remove oil drain plug
    Let drain completely
    Replace drain plug
    Prep new oil filter and install
    Reinstall plastic undertray
    Add oil

    dont overtighten the oil filter.

    otherwise yeah , its not very hard. dont forget the washer on the bolt either.
