huh, okay well i was going to buy one off craigslist but he said it was married to his car and he was going to sell it really cheap because he said it costs alot to send it to cobb to get it unmarried. Is this a new feature to cobb or have you always been able to unmarry it yourself?

A new Cobb AP is sent to you where you can download OTS maps from their website. Once you plug in the AP you must first "install" the AP, AKA, "marry" it to your car. then you can flash the maps to your car. once its married you cannot use it on another car. Once you "unmarry" the Cobb AP, that means that you now are back on your stock map, and anyone can use the Cobb AP, and restart the process on a new car. You can download or delete maps from the COBB AP to and from your computer whenever you like, instructions are on their website, youtube, google, etc.
Your welcome.
P.S. Sub-003 AP's only work on 08+ WRX/STI I believe. Will work on 11 and 12 for sure. for 2013, ,maps arent out yet for use.
2013 is same as 11 and 12
Friend of mine tried it on his 2013, wouldnt flash
Still for sale. Must sell

You have always been able to unmarry it yourself, but sometimes people forget to do it before they sell their car, or don't realize they can't do it unless they have the car. It's Cobb's way of preventing people from using the same device on multiple vehicles and hence hurting their sales.
