Are you under warranty? I would think that's a covered item.

Its actually not for me its for a buddys car but I never even thought of the warranty ha. He should definitely be within the mileage of the warranty. He is running stage 2 though from torqued performance so I'm not sure if it would be covered.

Again I ask the question... how does he know that the BPV is leaking?

Sorry. He said its not holding boost. Wouldn't that be his bpv leaking then.

That would technically fit the definition of "boost leak", yes. But still, how does he know?

It was easier to just say it was mine than to get into all the details. Guess i had to anyway. But is that what his problem would be. If mine was leaking Id be ticked only 8000 miles and stage 1 ha

His boost gauge Im guessing. Showing that he is not making his target boost.

Don't immediately jump to the conclusion that it's the BPV. Not making target boost could be due to the wastegate, or a boost leak elsewhere. I would pressurize the intake to 20 PSI with a shop compressor and look for boost leaks. Disconnect the BPV from the intake before.
