    If you're still in the hunt, I have a friend selling his 07 STI. It's really clean and has just over 18K miles. It also has tons of upgrades. The car is located in California. The catalytic converter has been removed and it has a Hydra ECU so a few changes would be required to pass smog in CA but it's tuned as a daily driver and it was dyno'd with 350+ HP at the wheels.     Wouldn't make sense to scrap a nice car just for the transmission.
