    I only gasket match the head-manifold inlets to create an anti-reversion step. The stock gaskets are way oversized so I do try to port match everything else but I'm just port matching to the stock crosspipe and up-pipe inner diameters.

    Cliff notes: Keeps exhaust gases from backing up into the heads. Anti-reversion techniques have been used for over 25 years on exhaust manifolds and headers.
