    WTB 400+ hp capable turbo

    Just seeing whats available at the moment. looking for a decent quality turbo capable of 400+ hp.. direct fit.. prob around 900$ to spend.. lmk. at work so no time to post more details! thanks!!!

    If you're talking about 400 AWHP, then you're not spending $900. You'll be looking more in the 1300-1500 range. I'm of course talking brand new because if you want that much power, then its best not to cheap out and buy used.

    Right.. maybe even up to ~$1900. Dom 3XT-Rs are $1800.. not to mention all the other upgrades that will been to be made to handle this kind of power. If it's a mostly stock car then you are realistically looking at spending a minimum of ~$6000 to make it work effectively.

    well i was looking at the tomei arms turbos. m8265.. just looking to see whats out there like i said

    my car is fully built to handle... ej20 with alamo 2.2 stroke kit., sti nitrided crank,acl race bearing, eagle rods, wiseco pistons .020 over.. arp head studs, brian crower stage 3 280 cams and valve train. perrin liggt weight crank pulley, act streetlite flywheel.. etc...

    Good deal. I'm not finding any flow numbers on the Tomei ARMS M8265, but it looks to flow slightly more than a 20g-XT? Correct me if I'm wrong.



    Anyways, that's still a $1500 turbo. And you're not going to make 400whp with it, at least not on pump gas. Maybe in the 360whp range.. which is still more than enough power.
