Sucks big time! No too many SWP owners out there man. I feel your pain, I drive alot for work, 3weeks I have owned mine and I have 2k miles on her already. But this is the car I wanted! so in 2-3years i'll grab something else to keep the miles down on the WRX.

So did you sell it or pending?

Oh gosh...I get the feeling if I died in a car accident nobody would miss me, but my car would be missed a whole lot! Again...I'm doing this because it makes so much sense financially. Emotionally I'm with you guys, though.

The sale is still pending...I don't want to give more info than that because of confidentiality, but I do want you guys to know that I am no longer showing the car unless the current potential buyer backs out.

    I promise I still <3 you guys...don't hate me.

not going to try to convince you either way, but from the standpoint you're at i can agree. I love my 02, and my daily commute to work is only about 20 miles round trip.

I do work at a VW dealership here in Phoenix however (not biased, promise), even with the mileage we get, sitting in a car thats reading 45-50 mpg just makes me want to own one. They are also very torquey like mentioned before, so its not like you're getting a prius.

    but....

i would never give up the subie.

Yeah...the interior and fuel economy of the Golf TDIs are miles ahead of the WRX...but it's definitely not a WRX haha. I'm also looking forward to the automatic for my commute (stop n go), but the DSG is at least a fun automatic...kinda cool driving an auto but feeling the engine braking.

But still...2011 WRX=best all around car I've ever driven.

Wait a minute. First of all, if you aren't really in a hurry to sell, then remove the "OBO" from the price. Secondly, have you considered a $2000 POS to put all the miles on? I've got a buddy at work that does that. Drives his 'nice car' for fun, and occasionally to work. That way you have the best of both worlds.

I don't see the harm in having OBO in the listing. As I've already said, a sale is pending because I've received what I think is a fair offer.

Yes I have. But I already have a 'nice/fun car' in my El Camino, and don't really have a proper/efficient way to store 3 vehicles. As a 22 year old single professional working very long hours, It is just not reasonable to own 3 vehicles as I could not possibly get enough use out of all 3. I think buying a "$2000 POS" would be a great solution for those that have the space and currently only own their WRX.

Seriously people...I don't know how many ways I have to cut it, but this is the right decision for me, as hard of a decision as it is to make.

Hey, you said we could try and talk you out of it. We just don't want to see you with anything less than awesome.

    SOLD.

I have already picked up my new Golf TDI as well...and I have to say I love it, albeit for very different reasons than I still love my old WRX. Buyer is a real stand up guy...I wouldn't be surprised to see him around these forums shortly.

Thank you again to everybody that gave me guidance--from my original purchase decision to mods to everything else--this forum has been worth much more it's weight in gold to me.

Plus, as I said before...I WILL still be lurking here for my car porn

What did you end up getting for the car if you don't mind? You can PM me if you prefer. I would imagine the intake went with the car?

Ohh, and post up some pics of this Golf TDI. I've never really seen one.
